As I am currently working hard to polish my Spanish knowledge at a top notch level, and I also have very good friends currently living in Spain, therefore eager to return and visit them, Thus, my instant interest in reading within hours Under a Spanish Sky by T.A.Williams, an author I had the chance to feature on my blog previously.
This story has a bit of everything: love story, bit of travel alongside the famous Compostela pilgrimage route, a story of resilience. The characters, particularly Amy who is trying to come at terms with her life of physical limitations, but also her partner of pilgrimage, Luke, with whom her soul is starting to build a bridge over their dark secrets. Their story which build up step by step as their advance on the road to Compostela, is mirroring an ancient love story set in the 14th century an addition to the story that I particularly loved because it magnifies the universality of love across centuries.
As in the other books by T.A.Williams, I admired the inviting local descriptions that may also inspire you - as it always happened before in the case of this writer - to travel and take a chance of life off the beaten path.
A recommended read to anyone keeping love close to their travel dreams.
