Long time no seen, Dan Amstrong and Oscar! I don´t know about you, but personally I missing their adventures in gorgeous locations all over Italy. (And, by the way, all locations in Italy are gorgeous). This time, there is a Murder in Bologna, one of the most complex cases so far.
As Dan is requested by a bereaved father to discover the cause of death of his gifted son, there is a wasp nest he is stirring. It may be an interesting case indeed, but as soon as more details are revealed, the possible outcome is leading to very dangerous, life threatening circumstances. But, as in many other cases, Oscar´s nose may not only help finding a solution, but can also act as a shield against possible threats.
I am religiously following this series and was never disappointed. The ambiance of dolce far niente - unless busy to commit or solve a crime - is there, and so is the smart humour. Compared to previous stories, this time it was even more elaborated, with twists keeping the reader connected and tensed until the case is solved.
Exactly the type of mystery one may need to spend some time with during a long November weekend.
